Resin Patio Surfacing in Greystones
Resin bound surfacing delivers wonderfully smooth, permeable surfaces that are a fantastic fit for patios and pathways. The finished result is hard wearing, low maintenance and available in a superb range of aggregate colours to suit all kinds of properties.
Our resin specialists have completed hundreds of resin surfaced patios, and we love tailoring every patio area to suit your requirements in Greystones.
What Is Resin Surfacing?
We blend natural aggregates, typically stone ranging from 2 to 6mm, with clear polyurethane resin, then expertly trowel the mixture onto a carefully prepared base. Once cured, you have a solid surface where every individual stone remains visible yet is firmly locked in place, creating a beautifully textured finish that feels comfortable underfoot.
The resin bound system is permeable, so water drains straight through rather than sitting on the surface. This matters for drainage regulations and for everyday practical use, as you will never be left with standing water after rain.
New Resin Patio Installations
For new patios, we begin by installing a porous concrete base. This gives resin the stable foundation it needs while keeping the entire construction permeable from top to bottom. The concrete must cure properly before we apply the resin, because rushing this stage leads to failures.
Depth depends on how the area will be used. Patios typically need 100mm of porous concrete with an appropriate sub base beneath, all installed with correct falls for drainage, even though the surface itself is permeable.
Resurfacing Existing Patio With Resin
Old concrete patios that are structurally sound but looking tired make excellent candidates for a resin overlay. We prepare the existing surface thoroughly by cleaning it, repairing cracks and applying primer to ensure outstanding adhesion.
We do not only offer unbeatable value for resin surfacing, we also provide options such as porcelain tiled patio installations, sandstone patios and more.
